Racing Incident Report

CHARMING SPEEDY was slow to begin. CHEERFUL HAPPINESS began awkwardly and was then steadied away from the heels of TELECOM TYCOON when shifting across behind runners. Shortly after the start, JOYFUL UNION was steadied when crowded for room between CLASSIC KING and DANSOLDE which shifted in. BARRACUDA began awkwardly and bumped the inside gate of its stall, then in the early stages when being ridden to go forward hung in. At the 1000 Metres, JUBILOSO was bumped by CLASSIC KING which itself was crowded for room outside CHARMING SPEEDY which shifted out when being steadied away from the heels of LUCKY MONEY which itself was steadied away from the heels of ALL CHANCES. At the 700 Metres, QUICK NEWS became unbalanced when crowded for room between ALL CHANCES and VINCERE. After the 700 Metres, JUBILOSO was bumped on several occasions and carried wider by CLASSIC KING. PRESENT TREASURE made the Home Turn awkwardly and hung out. After the 400 Metres, LUCKY MONEY had some difficulty obtaining clear running, near the 200 Metres was steadied and shifted out when disappointed for running between BARRACUDA and ALL CHANCES. At the 250 Metres, JOIN VICTORY was crowded for room between VINCERE which shifted out after being bumped by DANSOLDE and JUBILOSO which had its head on the side and hung in. After this, JUBILOSO continued to hang in, raced tight outside JOIN VICTORY and proved difficult to ride out. After the 200 Metres, PRESENT TREASURE became unbalanced when bumped by LUCKY MONEY which shifted to the outside of ALL CHANCES to obtain clear running. Throughout the race, JOIN VICTORY raced wide and without cover. When questioned, C Soumillon (VINCERE) explained approaching the 300 Metres his horse was inclined to hang in and the rider of DANSOLDE to his inside was calling to him. He said at this time he looked to his inside to ensure he was not causing interference to DANSOLDE. JUBILOSO, DANSOLDE and LUCKY MONEY were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported ALL CHANCES was bleeding from the mouth as a result of a laceration.
