Racing Incident Report

ADD THE FUN began awkwardly, bumped the inside gate of its stall and lost ground. On jumping, KING HOGAN and CHINA SPORTFIELD bumped, as a result of which KING HOGAN lost ground. Shortly after the start, EVER KING and SUNNY RIVIERA were crowded for room between VICTORY TURBO and GOOD NATURE, both of which shifted ground. After the 1600 Metres, ADD THE FUN was steadied to shift in to the rail. Making the first turn, CHINA SPORTFIELD proved difficult to settle, raced ungenerously, got its head up and shifted out. For the remainder of the race, CHINA SPORTFIELD raced wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. The performance of CHINA SPORTFIELD was considered unacceptable. Before being permitted to race again, CHINA SPORTFIELD will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. In the early and middle stages, VICTORY TURBO proved difficult to settle. GOOD NATURE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of CHINA SPORTFIELD making the Home Turn and on straightening was shifted in. For some distance approaching and passing the 400 Metres, VICTORY TURBO was unable to improve when awkwardly placed inside the heels of CHINA SPORTFIELD which was giving ground. At the 250 Metres, GOOD NATURE was steadied and shifted to the outside of VICTORY TURBO to obtain clear running. At the 200 Metres, VICTORY TURBO was bumped by KING HOGAN which shifted out. In the Straight, ADD THE FUN (O Doleuze) hung in and at the 100 Metres shifted in towards the heels of EVERGREEN. Because of this, O Doleuze stopped riding and changed the whip into his right hand. Also in the Straight, EVER KING hung out and proved difficult to ride. EVERGREEN and SOLAR EMPIRE were sent for sampling.
