Racing Incident Report
GOOD PROFIT was slow to begin. EVERY TIME began awkwardly and got its head up. SAN LORENZO began awkwardly and bumped the inside gate of its stall. On jumping, KEY TO SUCCESS and CLASSIC MASTER bumped. When the gates opened, PACKING ANGEL stumbled, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of DYNAMIC FUN. In the early stages, TCHAIKOVSKY proved difficult to settle when GREAT DELIGHT raced to its outside. Throughout the race, DYNAMIC FUN raced wide and without cover, near the 600 Metres was carried wider by CLASSIC MASTER and then on straightening gave ground. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported DYNAMIC FUN to be distressed. Before being allowed to race again, DYNAMIC FUN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Near the 100 Metres, KEY TO SUCCESS was checked when crowded for room between GOOD PROFIT and CLASSIC MASTER (Apprentice C W Wong) which when giving ground shifted in away from SAN LORENZO after having initially been carried in by that horse which in turn was carried in by GEM OF INDIA. Shortly after this, SAN LORENZO was momentarily steadied away from the heels of GEM OF INDIA which continued to shift ground when hanging in. Apprentice Wong was severely reprimanded and told in similar circumstances he would be expected to make a greater effort to prevent his mount shifting ground. Over the concluding stages, GOOD PROFIT was not ridden out when racing tight inside KEY TO SUCCESS and close to the heels of FIGURES. In the Straight, GOOD PROFIT hung in and proved difficult to ride. GOOD PROFIT was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of GOOD PROFIT after the race did not show any significant findings. TCHAIKOVSKY, GEM OF INDIA and FIFTY FIFTY were sent for sampling.
