Racing Incident Report
DORDENMA was slow to begin, then became unbalanced and lost further ground. AMBITION was slow to begin and shortly afterwards was steadied away from the heels of HAPPY TOGETHER which was carried out by FIRST KNIGHT. Shortly after the start, CENTURY SUPER STAR from a wide barrier was steadied and shifted across behind runners. In the early stages, when being steadied to obtain a position with cover, DORDENMA proved difficult to settle. Also in the early stages, SPECTACULAR TIMES when racing without cover proved difficult to settle and carried itself into a forward position. Near the 800 Metres, CHECK MATE was crowded for room inside FIRST KNIGHT. Also near the 800 Metres, HUANG PU DRAGON was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of LUCKY DRAGON. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, FIRST KNIGHT, which was not able to hold its position when racing awkwardly between CLASSIC HORSE and GOOD PARTNER, was steadied. AMBITION, which was following FIRST KNIGHT, got its head on the side, shifted out and was checked away from the heels of HAPPY TOGETHER. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, CAPTAIN BUNNY hung out. Also making the turn at the 800 Metres, CENTURY SUPER STAR was steadied when awkwardly placed between PRIME DELIGHT and DORDENMA. At the 700 Metres, CLASSIC HORSE was steadied to allow GOOD PARTNER to cross to lead in the fence. When this occurred, CHECK MATE, which was following CLASSIC HORSE, was checked, came back and caused inconvenience to AMBITION which as a result was carried out across the running of DORDENMA which was checked. No action was taken. At the 300 Metres, PRIME DELIGHT and AMBITION bumped. At the 250 Metres, SPECTACULAR TIMES, which was giving ground, became unbalanced when bumped by AMBITION which shifted out after being bumped by PRIME DELIGHT. Throughout the race, LUCKY DRAGON raced wide and without cover. HAPPY TOGETHER was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, HAPPY TOGETHER, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a significant amount of mucopus in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY TOGETHER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. GOOD PARTNER, PRIME DELIGHT and KOWLOON FIT were sent for sampling.
