Racing Incident Report
When the gates opened, HORACE'S HORSE bounded in the air, began awkwardly and shortly afterwards was steadied away from the heels of BRILLIANT WIN which on jumping got its head on the side and shifted out. BE MY BRIDE, GLOBE MARK and FUN CRUISER were slow to begin. After the 700 Metres, BE MY BRIDE hung in. Making the turn after the 600 Metres until after straightening, WELL EXPRESS hung out. At the 400 Metres, WELL EXPRESS was steadied away from the heels of BE MY BRIDE. On straightening, BRILLIANT WIN was crowded for room between HEALTHY HEART and GOLDEN MILE which at this time shifted to the outside of PEPPERONI into clear running. After the 200 Metres, SOUND OF SILENCE, which was inclined to hang in, was bumped by SMILING FOREST which shifted out into clear running. After this, SOUND OF SILENCE continued to hang in, as a result of which G Schofield, its rider, changed the whip into his right hand after the 100 Metres. Throughout the race, HEALTHY HEART, from the outside barrier, raced wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. WELL EXPRESS was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of WELL EXPRESS after the race did not show any significant findings. GOLDEN MILE and SMILING FOREST were sent for sampling.
