Racing Incident Report
ENRICHING and CHOICE AND CHANCE were slow to begin. DEFLECT began awkwardly and lost ground, then shortly after the start when being ridden along was steadied when crowded for room between ENRICHING and SOUTH CHINA NINETY which shifted in after being bumped by NOBLE VICTORY. At the 400 Metres, CHOICE AND CHANCE was momentarily crowded for room inside SOUTH CHINA NINETY. Shortly after this, CHOICE AND CHANCE was steadied and shifted to the outside of SOUTH CHINA NINETY. BRILLIANT EXPRESS was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of BRILLIANT EXPRESS after the race did not show any significant findings. SUPREMACY, BOLD FIGHTER and CHOICE AND CHANCE were sent for sampling.
Additional Veterinary Reports (released on 17 March 2005)
BRILLIANT EXPRESS, which performed poorly, was examined by the Senior Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. BRILLIANT EXPRESS was again examined by the Senior Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer A T Millard this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be "jarred up" in both front fetlocks. Before being allowed to race again, BRILLIANT EXPRESS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
