Racing Incident Report

BELONG TO US was withdrawn on 31.12.04 on veterinary grounds (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter PEACH BLOSSOM (A Delpech). Before being permitted to race again, BELONG TO US will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. When the gates opened, LUCKY ENCOUNTER bounded in the air and lost ground. MYTHIC STEED began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of EASY GAME. TELEPRIDE began awkwardly, bumped the outside gate of its stall, then shifted further and caused crowding on its outside to WISDOM EXPRESS which as a result was checked and lost ground. Near the 1300 Metres, LUCKY ENCOUNTER, which had been ridden along to make up ground, was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of SHANGHAI DELIGHT which shifted in. After the 1200 Metres, CASH KING was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of LEGIONNAIRE which was carried in by PEACH BLOSSOM which shifted ground when proving difficult to settle. At the 1100 Metres, HIGH PRICE was steadied away from the heels of MYTHIC STEED which shifted out when being checked to avoid the heels of SHANGHAI DELIGHT which was awkwardly placed close to the heels of GLOBE MARK. After the 1000 Metres, MYTHIC STEED was again steadied away from the heels of SHANGHAI DELIGHT which was having difficulty maintaining its position. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, CASH KING got its head up and hung out. In the middle stages, LUCKY ENCOUNTER raced wide and without cover. After the 400 Metres, CASH KING was shifted out in an attempt to find clear running and for some distance after the 300 Metres raced tight between BAYVIEW LAD and LUCKY ENCOUNTER which shifted in. For some distance after the 300 Metres, EASY GAME was held up and unable to improve when close to the heels of JOIN SUCCESS which commenced to give ground. After the 200 Metres, TELEPRIDE was momentarily crowded for room inside EASY GAME which shifted to the inside of JOIN SUCCESS into clear running. Near the 100 Metres, CASH KING, which was continuing to have difficulty finding clear running, was again crowded for room between BAYVIEW LAD and LUCKY ENCOUNTER which at this time was carried in slightly by HIGH PRICE. HIGH PRICE and LEGIONNAIRE were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported JOIN SUCCESS had bled from both nostrils.
