Racing Incident Report

NICKU NICKU began awkwardly, got its head up, shifted out and bumped KNIGHT TEMPLAR which in turn bumped A PLUS FIT which shifted in. As a result of this, T Mundry, the rider of NICKU NICKU, became unbalanced and the horse lost a significant amount of ground. In this incident, KNIGHT TEMPLAR also lost ground. DRAGON STRIDE was slow to begin. At the 1400 Metres, DESERT STRIKE was momentarily crowded for room inside SWEET SMILE which got its head on the side and shifted in away from LUCKY DRAGON. After the 1100 Metres, PORT OF HOPE was carried wider when bumped by FIRST ON which was proving difficult to settle and shifted out away from the heels of GOLD STRIKER. Near the 900 Metres, SWEET SMILE clipped the heels of FIRST ON and blundered. KINGSTON GLORY, which was following, was hampered in consequence. For some distance after straightening, KINGSTON GLORY had difficulty obtaining clear running between SWEET SMILE and KNIGHT TEMPLAR. After the 300 Metres, NICKU NICKU, which was closing the race off strongly, was steadied and shifted to the inside of MAGICAL LOT to continue going forward. At the 200 Metres, FIRST ON, which was giving ground, became unbalanced after being brushed by NICKU NICKU. SUNRISE RAINBOW and GOLD STRIKER were sent for sampling.
