Racing Incident Report

WADADELIGHT, which was fractious after being boxed, was slow to begin. MAN ON THE MOON began awkwardly and shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of KE JIA WANG. On jumping, SUPREME STAR was crowded for room between BOLD FIGHTER and OSCAR STAR, both of which shifted ground. Passing the 1000 Metres, OSCAR STAR was momentarily steadied when awkwardly placed between THE ONLY ONE and SUPREME STAR. Near the 700 Metres, KING OF GAROUPA was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of GOLDEN STRIDE which at this time was crowded for room inside MAN ON THE MOON which got its head on the side and hung in away from THE ONLY ONE. Near the 600 Metres, GOLDEN STRIDE was checked when crowded for room inside MAN ON THE MOON which continued to hang in away from THE ONLY ONE (B Doyle) when racing tight inside that horse. Whilst the Stewards accepted MAN ON THE MOON contributed to this incident, B Doyle was advised to ensure he left comfortable racing room for runners to his inside. In the early part of the Straight, KING OF GAROUPA got its head on the side and hung in, then over about the last 100 Metres was unable to obtain clear running between FAIRWAY FINDER and THE ONLY ONE. KING OF GAROUPA was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. GOLDEN STRIDE and OSCAR STAR were sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of KING OF GAROUPA, GOLDEN STRIDE and OSCAR STAR after the race did not show any significant findings. MAJIN BUU and BOLD FIGHTER were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported that WADADELIGHT had sustained a laceration to the left front cannon.
