Racing Incident Report

EVERY TIME was difficult to load and was slow to begin. Before being allowed to race again, EVERY TIME will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. STAR PRODIGY was slow to begin. Near the 600 Metres, EVERY TIME, which had been ridden along to make ground, was checked to avoid the heels of WINNING COUNTER which steadied momentarily away from the heels of HIGHLILLI which after shifting in to a position behind GENERAL KINGY steadied itself. In the circumstances, no action was taken. Shortly after this, GOLDEN CARE was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of KIMBERLEY MINES and tight outside EVERY TIME. Near the 400 Metres, DANHERO was steadied when crowded for room inside EVERY TIME which shifted in slightly. On straightening, WINNING COUNTER was steadied and shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of BOBO WIN. After the 200 Metres, WINNING COUNTER, which was beginning to close the race off, was steadied and shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of GENERAL KINGY. Throughout the race, KINGSTON WINNER raced wide and without cover. F Coetzee (HIGHLILLI) explained near the 600 Metres to avoid racing four wide he shifted back in to a position behind GENERAL KINGY and race with cover. He said as soon as HIGHLILLI obtained cover, it dropped the bit and did not travel as he expected it would. He said prior to straightening he realised HIGHLILLI would not figure in the finish, in the Straight despite being ridden along and racing tight for some distance with WINNING COUNTER, HIGHLILLI was very disappointing. The explanation of F Coetzee was accepted. HIGHLILLI was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. After the race, HIGHLILLI was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said there were no significant findings. ALWAYS WELCOME and BOBO WIN were sent for sampling.
