Racing Incident Report
MY CHIEF was slow to begin, shortly afterwards was bumped by PACIFIC ALLIANCE which shifted out. CZAR OF PRUSSIA was slow to begin. Near the winning post on the first occasion, THUNDER STORM was bumped by KING OF FISH. After passing the 1200 Metes, GRAND FIGHTER (Apprentice P H Lo), which had crossed to the lead, was steadied in front. DYNAMIC FUN, which was following, was checked to avoid the heels of GRAND FIGHTER. This in turn caused PACIFIC ALLIANCE, which was following DYNAMIC FUN, to be severely checked and shifted out. BOBO DUCK, which was following PACIFIC ALLIANCE, was severely checked in consequence and HEALTHY FRUITS was also hampered. Apprentice P H Lo was advised in similar circumstances he would be expected to steady more gradually than he did on this occasion after reaching the lead. At the same time, THUNDER STORM was checked to avoid the heels of KING OF FISH. DANEHILL WARRIOR and VICTORY MARBLE were hampered in consequence. Then near the 1000 Metres, THUNDER STORM again was checked to avoid the heels of KING OF FISH, resulting in PACIFIC ALLIANCE and PACKING ANGEL being hampered. Near the 250 Metres, THUNDER STORM was steadied when disappointed for running to the outside of KING OF FISH which was hanging. KING OF FISH continued to hang out for the remainder of the race. HEALTHY FRUITS, which was following THUNDER STORM, was steadied in consequence. Throughout the race, VICTORY MARBLE was obliged to race wide and without cover. DYNAMIC FUN was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, DYNAMIC FUN was examined by the Veterinary Officer. No significant findings were made. THUNDER STORM, MY CHIEF and KING OF FISH were sent for sampling.
