Racing Incident Report
After arriving at the Start, it was noted LUCKY LUCKY had a small amount of blood present in its mouth. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and after the necessary consultations was considered suitable to race. On jumping, COSMO STAR was checked when crowded for room between SUPERSONIC which shifted out and DANZIGFIRE which shifted in. Also on jumping, LUCKY LUCKY shifted out abruptly. SUN POWER began awkwardly. FAMOUS BRAND was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, PEACH BLOSSOM, which had been slow to begin, was checked away from the heels of PROFIT DAY which shifted in abruptly. At the 1100 Metres, FAMOUS BRAND, which was improving its position after being slow to begin, was steadied when crowded for room between ADVANCE AHEAD and PROFIT DAY which shifted in. No action was taken. Making the turn at the 700 Metres, SUPERSONIC was crowded for room inside DOUCAI which had its head on the side and shifted in away from MUNDAHISH which shifted in when hanging. Also making the turn at the 700 Metres, PEACH BLOSSOM, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up and shifted out. In the middle stages, PROFIT DAY and DANZIGFIRE hung out. On straightening, PEACH BLOSSOM was steadied and shifted out to avoid the heels of MUNDAHISH which was giving ground. MUNDAHISH was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race MUNDAHISH was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said the horse was mildly distressed. Before being allowed to race again, MUNDAHISH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. COSMO STAR, DOUCAI and SUN POWER were sent for sampling.
Additional Veterinary Reports (released on 4 December)
