Racing Incident Report
During the parade, LA MERVEILLE became very fractious and refused to enter the track via the appointed gate. LA MERVEILLE was taken onto the track through an alternate gate. Before being permitted to race again, LA MERVEILLE will have to satisfy the Stewards that it is able to participate satisfactorily in the pre-race parade. As the gates opened, ZERO IN, which had been fractious, reared and consequently lost considerable ground. Before being permitted to race again, ZERO IN will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. LA MERVEILLE and KING PALM were a little slow to begin. From a wide barrier, PRECIOUS MOMENTS raced wide and without cover throughout. In the early stages, MY CHOICE proved very difficult to settle, on a number of occasions got its head up and near the 800 Metres was checked away from the heels of SURE FORTUNE. Near the 500 Metres, D'OR WIN was unbalanced when awkwardly placed outside the hindquarters of SMART CHAMPION which shifted out slightly. MIRACLES and KING PALM were sent for sampling.
