Racing Incident Report

WYNDAM EASY was slow to begin. From the outside gate, SPEED LORD, which was to be ridden quietly tonight, was taken across behind runners to a position near the fence but at the rear. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, HELENE ELEGANCE was carried wider by KIMBERLEY MINES which got its head on the side and hung out. KIMBERLEY MINES continued to hang out making the Home Turn. In the Straight, WYNDAM EASY got its head on the side and lay in. J Quinn (DANHERO) explained in the early stages when being ridden along to maintain its position DANHERO appeared awkward in its action. He said because of this near the 700 Metres he took hold of DANHERO in an endeavour to get it properly balanced, but as a consequence the horse got further back than he would have wished. He said once balanced DANHERO travelled nicely and closed the race off well. DANHERO was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, DANHERO was examined by the Veterinary Officer. No significant findings were made. PAOBRIDGE, FLYING GENERAL and WINNING COUNTER were sent for sampling.
