Racing Incident Report
While parading prior to the race, JOYFUL WORLD slipped behind and fell. The horse was examined by the Senior Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion it was not suitable to ace. Acting on this advice, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of JOYFUL WORLD. After being boxed, SPEEDING MOLLY became fractious, reared and had its right front leg caught over the barrier partition. The horse was removed from the gates and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion it was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of SPEEDING MOLLY. Before being allowed to race again, SPEEDING MOLLY will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. SUPER IDEAL began awkwardly and lost ground at the start. LIGHTING THE WORLD, which was standing badly, began awkwardly and was slow to begin. On jumping, COME AGAIN was bumped by MANAU which after beginning awkwardly shifted in. RED FIREBALL was slow to begin. After the 1200 Metres, SMART KING was steadied and lost its position when crowded for room between LA MERVEILLE and RED BARON, both of which shifted ground. No action was taken. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, LA MERVEILLE hung in. At the 700 Metres, SUPER IDEAL was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of HAPPY TOGETHER. As a result of this, RED BARON was carried wider. Making the Home Turn, SUN HEI GLORY hung out. Over the concluding stages, MY CHOICE shifted out and proved difficult to ride, and SUPER IDEAL hung in. Whilst the Stewards considered the riding of R Fradd (RED BARON) in the run to the line did not affect the horse's finishing position and accordingly a breach of Rule 100(2) did not occur, they did however advise R Fradd he must ride all mounts out at least hands and heels to the end of the race wherever possible. SUPER IDEAL, HAPPY TOGETHER and MY CHOICE were sent for sampling.
