Racing Incident Report
OH GREAT was withdrawn on 6.5.03 on veterinary grounds (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter SUPREME (M Cahill). Before being allowed to race again, OH GREAT will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. ESCALATION was slow to begin. On jumping, GOOD WIN (D Dunn) got its head up and shortly afterwards shifted in and caused crowding on its inside to EL VIENTO and KINGDOM OF GOLD which as a result was checked. The Stewards were satisfied after initially allowing his mount to shift in slightly, D Dunn made an appropriate attempt to correct his mount. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, EL VIENTO was momentarily crowded for room inside TELECOM TYCOON. In the early stages, AHEAD A HEAD proved difficult to settle. At the 1100 Metres and again at the 900 Metres, EL VIENTO got its head up when close to the heels of TELECOM TYCOON. GOOD WIN and SHOW BRAVELY were sent for sampling. After the race, it was noted AHEAD A HEAD was bleeding from the mouth.
