Racing Incident Report
When the gates opened, CLANG'S PRIDE, which was not standing well, began very awkwardly and was then checked away from the heels of CHINA WORLD which on jumping shifted in abruptly. On jumping, NON SEQUITUR and GOOD CHANCE were steadied when crowded for room between JOYFUL MASTER and BURST TO VICTORY, both of which shifted ground. WINNING SUNSHINE began awkwardly and shifted in abruptly. Making the turn at the 1000 Metres, LUCKY KING was checked when crowded for room between JOYFUL MASTER and WINNING SUNSHINE which got its head up and shifted out to avoid the heels of GOLD CHARM which in turn was steadied when momentarily crowded by CHINA WORLD which got its head on the side and shifted in momentarily. No action was taken. At the 900 Metres, WINNING SUNSHINE was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of JOYFUL MASTER which itself was proving difficult to settle. At the 600 Metres, JOYFUL MASTER was momentarily crowded for room between GOLD CHARM and BURST TO VICTORY. Near the 400 Metres, BURST TO VICTORY was momentarily steadied to avoid the heels of JOYFUL MASTER and shifted out to go forward. At the 200 Metres, LUCKY KING was steadied when disappointed for running inside GOLD CHARM which was giving ground. In the Straight, JOYFUL MASTER hung in. CLANG'S PRIDE was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, CLANG'S PRIDE was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He reported the horse was lame in the right fore leg. Before being permitted to race again, CLANG'S PRIDE will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. AMO and JOYFUL MASTER were sent for sampling. Following the race, D Whyte reported GOOD CHANCE was not striding out freely. A veterinary examination was carried out. The Veterinary Officer said GOOD CHANCE showed slight lameness in the right fore leg. Before GOOD CHANCE can race again, it will be required to pass an official veterinary examination.
