Racing Incident Report

When the gates opened, POPULAR CHOICE stood flat-footed and lost considerable ground. Before being permitted to race again, POPULAR CHOICE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. NEVER HEADED, which was leaning to the left side, began awkwardly and bumped the outside gate of its stall. HOWSON was slow to begin and at the 600 Metres was steadied when momentarily tightened for room between GANBARIA STAR and PERFECT VISION. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, SPECTACULAR WIN hung out. SPORT SEEKER was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. After the race, SPORT SEEKER was examined by the Veterinary Officer. An endoscopic examination was carried out. This showed a significant amount of mucus in the trachea. Before SPORT SEEKER can race again, it will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. TALK OF THE TOWN was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of TALK OF THE TOWN following the race did not show any significant findings. OPTIC CHIEF and NAZAKAT II were sent for sampling. After the race, it was noted SPECTACULAR WIN had lost its left front plate.
