Racing Incident Report

SEREVI was withdrawn on 10.12.02 on veterinary grounds (blood in trachea on post gallop scope) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter STRATEGIC SELECT (Apprentice M W Leung). Before SEREVI can race again, it must pass an official veterinary examination. MR BASKETBALL jumped awkwardly with its head up and just after the start was inconvenienced by EXPEDIENT which shifted out after being bumped by DANEHILL WARRIOR. STRATEGIC SELECT jumped awkwardly, just after the start was unbalanced when crowded between DANEHILL WARRIOR and ROUND THE WORLD. On jumping, SCENIC STAR and MENDOZA came together. Near the winning post the first time, CHIVAS LAD, which was proving difficult to settle, became unbalanced and got its head up. About the 200 Metres, BOBO DUCK was shifted out in an endeavour to find running between DANEHILL WARRIOR and SING A SONG, was disappointed for the run and about 100 Metres out was shifted in abruptly to find running between DANEHILL WARRIOR and EXPEDIENT. As a consequence of BOBO DUCK shifting in, some inconvenience was caused to EXPEDIENT which was giving ground. After the 200 Metres, SING A SONG, which was giving ground, was steadied when momentarily tightened between BOBO DUCK which was trying to shift out and STRATEGIC SELECT which shifted in slightly. DANEHILL WARRIOR and BOBO DUCK were sent for sampling.
