Racing Incident Report
YACHT MASTER, first Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 10.12.02 on veterinary grounds (lame right hind). Before YACHT MASTER can race again, it will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. SIGHT FIRST left the gates very awkwardly with its head up, shifted out and bumped the shoulder of SUPER COMBED. GOOD WIN jumped very awkwardly, threw its head about, as a consequence of this lost a lot of ground and got well back. Near the winning post the first time, SUPER COMBED was momentarily crowded for room between SIGHT FIRST and JUST IN TIME which was endeavouring to shift in. After this, JUST IN TIME was obliged to race wide and was not able to find any cover. Near the 1000 Metres, BEAMING RIVER, which was being ridden in a rearward position from the outside gate and pulling, threw its head about. Just on straightening, SIGHT FIRST and LUCKY LUCKY came together. After the 200 Metres, BEAMING RIVER, which was closing off quite well, was steadied and changed course to avoid JUST IN TIME. JUST IN TIME, CLASSA WIN and UNIVERSAL GLORY were sent for sampling.
