Racing Incident Report

RORY'S BID and WISDOM EXPRESS were slowly away. FANTASTICO bounded in the air when the gates opened. About the 800 Metres, RORY'S BID was severely checked when crowded between GIDDY KIPPER and WISDOM EXPRESS (H K Yim) which after missing the start was ridden along hard to a position inside SUN TZU (W M Lai) which shifted in slightly away from WINWIN COMBINATION. Because of all the circumstances involved, it was decided no direct action should be taken, however, H K Yim was severely reprimanded and told the type of riding he exhibited this evening showed little regard for others in the race, he must exercise far more care than this. W M Lai was advised to exercise care at all times when shifting ground. About the 700 Metres, WINWIN COMBINATION was steadied when momentarily crowded by THE MOST DAUNTLESS. Shortly after this, WINWIN COMBINATION shifted out and bumped AFICIONADO. DANHERO and TAR 'N' FEATHER were sent for sampling. Subsequent to the race, D Whyte (TAR 'N' FEATHER) said the horse in his opinion felt short in front. The Veterinary Officer examined TAR 'N' FEATHER. He said the horse in his opinion was not lame, but was somewhat short in its action in front and he will re-examine TAR 'N' FEATHER at the stables of Mr Y O Wong tomorrow.
