Racing Incident Report

LOK WAH TREASURE was slowly away, then just after leaving the gates was crowded between RETURN A SMILE and SPEED WINNER, both of which shifted a little ground. MILLENNIUMTREASURE left the gates awkwardly and was further inconvenienced by CLASSA VICTORY which shifted out. In the early stages, RETURN A SMILE raced ungenerously with its head up, as a consequence of this became unbalanced several times. About the 600 Metres, CLASSA VICTORY momentarily shifted in and brushed CLASSIC SYMPHONY. Just on straightening, LOK WAH TREASURE was momentarily awkward when close to the heels of CLASSIC SYMPHONY. Also just on straightening, UNIVERSAL STAR got its head on the side when being shifted across the heels of LATIN DANCER to get to the outside and go forward. W C Marwing (MR PRESIDENT) said he had given the horse a recent gallop on the track, he thought this work was good and it was anticipated MR PRESIDENT would run well tonight. He said before tonight's race he was instructed to ensure MR PRESIDENT left the gates well and endeavoured to take up a position somewhere just off the pace. Accordingly on jumping he rode MR PRESIDENT along, was able to take up a forward position and in the middle part of the race when the pace slackened, MR PRESIDENT travelled, he thought, satisfactorily, however, it was inclined to pull and momentarily got its head up when racing close to the heels of CLASSA VICTORY. He went on to say when put under full pressure after straightening, the horse immediately commenced to give ground and was overall very disappointing. ELITE WIN, SPLENDID BO BO and COUNTRY BOY were sent for sampling. After the race, it was noted LATIN DANCER had lost its right front plate.
