Racing Incident Report
After being boxed, TAKING THE LEAD became fractious, reared and kicked out behind. The horse was released from the gates, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and after the necessary consultations it was decided that TAKING THE LEAD was suitable to race. When the gates opened, TAKING THE LEAD came out awkwardly with its head up and on the side, as a consequence E Saint-Martin was momentarily unbalanced. Before TAKING THE LEAD can race again, it will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. BLISS OF HEAVEN left the gates awkwardly with its head up, shifted out and made contact with MY LOYAL FRIEND which was carried across the heels of TABBRIS. About the 400 Metres, TABBRIS momentarily shifted in and brushed BLISS OF HEAVEN. Over the concluding stages, MY LOYAL FRIEND raced ungenerously, hung out and near the line raced close to the heels of TAKING THE LEAD. Because of this, the horse was not ridden to the finish as it used to be. GREEN FINDER, TUMBLER and OPERA MAGIC were sent for sampling.
