Racing Incident Report
FORTUNE GLORY was slowly away. On straightening, EXCEL KID was momentarily awkward on the heels of CHIEF'S FORTUNE. Y T Cheng (I DELIVER) explained he had been instructed tonight to take up a position somewhere about 5th or 6th and if possible near the rail. He said I DELIVER threw its head about on leaving the gates. He said on settling down I DELIVER was racing close to the heels of GOT IT RIGHT, turning out of the Straight the first time the horse became unbalanced mainly because it was pulling due to the slow pace and he felt he had no option but to shift out momentarily from behind GOT IT RIGHT. He also said THISTLEJADE, which was racing to his inside, was inclined to be pulling and shifting ground as well. He said I DELIVER travelled satisfactorily about midfield, but went to the line only one paced and he was of the view the speed of the race this evening clearly affected the chances of I DELIVER. I DELIVER and THISTLEJADE were sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
