Racing Incident Report
LUCKY LAD left the gates awkwardly and threw its head about. From an outside gate, SPEEDY FORWARD was steadied on jumping and shifted across to take up a position at the rear but on the rail. Turning out of the Straight the first time, EVER GLORY got its head up and became unbalanced when racing close to the heels of LUCKY LAD. Some inconvenience was caused to LEGITIMATE which was following. About the 400 Metres, DANRIVA, which was following C'EST LA VIE, was steadied and shifted across the heels of ARRIBA-ARRIBA to go forward. After this, DANRIVA was carried wide rounding the latter part of the turn. About the 200 Metres, EVER GLORY was steadied and shifted out when disappointed for running inside LUCKY LAD which when weakening was hanging in. Also about the 200 Metres, C'EST LA VIE shifted out, because of this W C Marwing stopped riding, straightened and changed his whip hand. LUCKY LAD was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing. After the race, it was noted LEGITIMATE had lost its off side front plate.
