Racing Incident Report
LUCKY TRIO was withdrawn on raceday morning on veterinary grounds (lame off fore). Before racing again, LUCKY TRIO will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. Before being presented in the Parade Ring, it was noted that the toe clip on the plate fitted to the near side hind plate of JET JACKSON broke. The plate was refitted and the Veterinary Surgeon said the horse was suitable to race. NOBLE CHARGE and GOT IT RIGHT were slowly away. MASCOT left the gates very awkwardly with its head on the side, shifted in and bumped TURF LUCK. After this MASCOT was ridden along to go forward and get in, was unable to do so and was obliged to race wide throughout without any cover. In the early and middle stages, CHIVAS LAD had a tendency to pull and get its head up. Approaching and rounding the Home Turn, SPRINTER hung out. About the 400 Metres, NOBLE CHARGE was steadied and shifted out when disappointed for running inside CHIVAS LAD. Approaching the 200 Metres, CHIVAS LAD, which was improving inside MISSION SEALED (A Suborics), was checked and shifted out when disappointed for running inside that horse which shifted in. A Suborics was severely reprimanded and told he must exercise far more care when shifting ground.
