Racing Incident Report
Prior to being presented in the Parade Ring, FAT CHOY TREASURE had an adjustment made to its near side front plate. STRATEGIC SELECT and CRYSTAL STEEL were slowly away. Just after the start, PREMIER SPEED was crowded for room between DANRIVA which shifted in slightly and FLYING SUCCESS which was taken out by COUNTRY DRAGON which shifted ground after being bumped by REWARD. Then about the 900 Metres, PREMIER SPEED became unbalanced and threw its head about when close to the heels of YACHT MASTER. From a difficult gate, CONVERGENCE was obliged to race wide throughout and without any cover. Approaching the 800 Metres, CRYSTAL STEEL, which was having difficulty keeping up, was checked when crowded by FLYING SUCCESS which had a tendency to shift in away from DANRIVA (D Dunn) which was racing tight inside YACHT MASTER (D Whyte). In view of all the circumstances, no action was taken, but both D Dunn and D Whyte were asked to exercise care at all times. For some distance near the 600 Metres, YACHT MASTER was awkwardly placed behind DELIGHTFUL SPECIAL which was giving ground. Then near the 300 Metres, YACHT MASTER was steadied when crowded between DANRIVA and FLYING SUCCESS which shifted out. On straightening, DELIGHTFUL SPECIAL became unbalanced and was checked when crowded for room between DANRIVA which shifted slightly to the outside of COUNTRY DRAGON and ACE OF PACE which was taken in by CONVERGENCE which after racing wide at this stage hung in. Also on straightening, PREMIER SPEED was momentarily awkward on the heels of STRATEGIC SELECT. In the run to the winning post, PREMIER SPEED shifted out. Also over the concluding stages, GOLDEN YEARS had a tendency to get its head on the side and shift out. YACHT MASTER was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
