Racing Incident Report
BELOVED PARTNER left the gates awkwardly, shifted out and bumped PRIDE AND FORTUNE which became unbalanced and knuckled. INDIAN TAIPAN was slowly away. Near the 900 Metres, MR HONOUR was momentarily unbalanced when close to the heels of SPOT ON. Just after the 600 Metres, MR HONOUR shifted out slightly from behind EMPEROR, however, when being shifted out MR HONOUR became momentarily unbalanced and shifted further than was actually required. As a consequence of this, METRO FLYER, which was improving to the outside of MR HONOUR, also became unbalanced and shifted out abruptly, this caused CITY FORTUNE, CALIFORNIA TYCOON and INDIAN TAIPAN to be hampered and race considerably wider rounding the turn. The Stewards believed that the crowding was accidental and no action was taken. Just on straightening, SOUNDS GOOD was momentarily awkward between BELOVED PARTNER and METRO FLYER. About the 300 Metres, BELOVED PARTNER was steadied and shifted in when disappointed for running between SOUNDS GOOD and MR HONOUR. Near the 200 Metres, ZENON LIGHT became unbalanced when changing course to avoid EMPEROR which was giving ground.
