Racing Incident Report
When the gates opened, NOBLE CHARGE stood flat-footed and lost a lot of ground. Mr P C Kan, trainer of NOBLE CHARGE, explained that it is his intention to run the horse at Sha Tin next Saturday. It was therefore decided to advise Mr Kan should NOBLE CHARGE perform similarly again, action will be taken against it. TAI PO FRIEND left the gates very awkwardly, threw its head about and then shifted out, this caused TOP QUALITY to check. The occurrence was accidental. SIR TIMAH jumped awkwardly, then from a difficult gate was obliged to travel wide. Approaching the 200 Metres, SWEETIE was steadied when tightened between TOP QUALITY which was giving ground and SIGHT FIRST (W Woods) which shifted out to go forward. W Woods was reprimanded and told he must exercise far more care than this when shifting ground. Also approaching the 200 Metres, MULTICHAMP was checked and shifted out when disappointed for running between SWEETIE and TOP QUALITY which was giving ground. Shortly after this, MULTICHAMP was again steadied when disappointed for running between TOP QUALITY and SIR TIMAH. After the 200 Metres, WELL BEST was shifted out to find running and go forward. After the 100 Metres, TAI PO FRIEND was hit on the head by the whip of W C Marwing (SIR TIMAH).
