Racing Incident Report
On leaving the Parade Ring, NOBLE BOY bumped the rail with his hindquarters. After arriving at the Start, the horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. On leaving the gates, LUCKY CHARM was checked when crowded between MASTER MARAUDER and MILLENNIUM LEGEND which shifted out. MIDAS SECRET left the gates awkwardly and threw its head up. From an outside gate, UTMOST EASY was steadied on jumping, shifted across to take up a position closer to the rail but at the rear. MILLENNIUM LEGEND was ridden along in the early stages to go forward and get in, was unable to do so, was compelled to race wide and without any cover. Near the 600 Metres, LIGHTNING FAST and BRAVISSIMO came together. Just on straightening, MIDAS SECRET became unbalanced and dipped. In the Straight, FABULOUS had a tendency to race ungenerously and lay out. W Woods (STAR WARRIOR) said the horse travelled satisfactorily until about the 800 Metres, but thereafter commenced to give ground and dropped right out of the race. As he was concerned with the horse, he did not ride it out as he normally would. The performance of STAR WARRIOR was considered unacceptable. Before it can race again, it will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. STAR WARRIOR was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
