Racing Incident Report

Whilst being saddled, FAMOUS BRAND reared and made contact with the ceiling fan. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. After arriving at the Start, it was noted that AMITY had its tongue over the bit. This was attended to before the horse was boxed. THUNDER STORM left the gates very awkwardly, then shifted out abruptly away from the hindquarters of SAI KUNG STAR. HAPPY BOY left the gates badly and threw its head about. TWIN WIZARDS jumped awkwardly and bumped the inside of its gate. For a short distance after the start, TWIN WIZARDS and UNBREAKABLE raced tight between RARE COLLECTION and DANHERO. About the 400 Metres, THUNDER STORM, which was making some ground from a rearward position after losing a lot of ground at the start, was disappointed for running between SAI KUNG STAR and HAPPY BOY which was taken out slightly by TRIUMPHANT STAR which shifted ground away from CHOICE AND CHANCE. After this incident, THUNDER STORM was shifted in to find running. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon said MULTIDANDY was significantly stiff in its hind leg action with some swelling and muscle tremor over its near side rib cage. Before racing again, MULTIDANDY will be required to pass an official veterinary examination.
