Racing Incident Report
On the way to the Start, CLEAR MASTER whipped round and dislodged E Legrix. The horse worked only a short distance down the track, was caught, remounted and proceeded to the Start where it was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said the horse was suitable to race. After arriving at the Start, R Fradd (HEAVENLY WIND) reported to the Veterinary Surgeon that he was concerned with the way the horse had worked down. HEAVENLY WIND was trotted up, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and after discussing the matter with R Fradd he decided HEAVENLY WIND was suitable to race. After being boxed, LOMBARD became fractious and broke through. The horse was quickly pulled up, returned to the Start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed suitable to race. Before racing again, LOMBARD will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. AMITY was also fractious after being boxed, lunged forward and broke open its gate. The horse was released, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed suitable to race. Before racing again, AMITY will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. On jumping, the saddle on HOLY QUEST shifted back, this placed F Coetzee at a disadvantage. GAGNANT jumped very awkwardly and dipped, as a consequence S Baster was almost dislodged. Just after the start, HEAVENLY WIND was checked when crowded between CORE PRINCIPLES and ABSOLUTE which was taken out by CLEAR MASTER. Also just after the start, the saddle on CLASSIC CHOICE shifted back, this placed W Woods at a considerable disadvantage. J Egan (LOMBARD) explained over about the last 200 Metres he was concerned with the action of the horse. Before racing again, LOMBARD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. CYBER WISDOM was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
