Racing Incident Report
The Veterinary Surgeon said before the race he was advised by the Trainer that GOLDEN WARRIOR had reared whilst being saddled and had hit its head. GOLDEN WARRIOR was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon at the Start. He was unable to detect any abnormalities, discussed the horse's condition with W Woods and it was then decided GOLDEN WARRIOR was suitable to race. FORTUNE GLORY, which was restless in the boxes, was slowly away. KOWLOON JAZZ jumped awkwardly and bumped the outside of its stall. GOLDEN WARRIOR, which had been rearing after being boxed, was slow to jump. Near the winning post the first time, SPECTACULAR TALK was steadied to avoid the heels of CLEAR MASTER which was taken in slightly by SINCERELY YOURS (Apprentice K C Tsang). Apprentice K C Tsang was told he must exercise far more care. Just after this incident, SPECTACULAR TALK shifted to be racing outside the heels of CLEAR MASTER. In the early stages, WINNING LUCK was obliged to race wide without cover and proved difficult to settle. In the middle stages, FORTUNE GLORY had a tendency to pull and throw its head about. About the 200 Metres, CLEAR MASTER shifted in away from MAGIC WIN and made contact with SINCERELY YOURS which was giving ground. Near the winning post, AQUA PRINCE, which was finding the line quite well, was steadied to avoid the heels of MAGIC WIN. FORTUNE GLORY was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
