Racing Incident Report
PARTIKING left the gates awkwardly, shifted out abruptly and bumped MR BRINKER which then itself shifted out abruptly, this caused AFICIONADO to be severely checked. The occurrence was accidental. On jumping, MASTERKEY dipped. In the early and middle stages, MASCOT had a tendency to lay in. In the middle stages and rounding the Home Turn, SOUNDS GOOD hung out. Near the 400 Metres, SOUNDS GOOD shifted in and brushed KOWLOON CHIEF which shifted some ground, this caused inconvenience to VIGOROSO and SPEEDY CHAMPION which was following was steadied and shifted out. SOUNDS GOOD was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, it was reported that VIGOROSO was bleeding from both nostrils. Also following the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that KOWLOON CHIEF was lame in its near side front leg. Before being allowed to race again, KOWLOON CHIEF will be required to pass an official veterinary examination.
