Racing Incident Report
On jumping, GOLD FLASK was rather severely crowded for room between WINWIN COMBINATION which shifted out and JOYFUL STAR which shifted in away from CLASSIC DANCER which itself left the gates awkwardly with its head up. Just after the start, PLATINUM EXPRESS was steadied when crowded for room between SUPER STAR and SHAXI TREASURE which shifted in. Then for some distance after this, SHAXI TREASURE proved difficult to settle and on several occasions threw its head in the air. From a difficult gate, LUCKY AHEAD was caught wide and obliged to race for most of the trip without cover. About the 1200 Metres, CLASSIC DANCER shifted out abruptly away from GOLD FLASK, in doing so brushed PLATINUM EXPRESS which in turn shifted ground and bumped the hindquarters of POWER HOUSE, causing that horse to become momentarily unbalanced and obliging it to race wider. Running to the first turn, CLASSIC DANCER shifted ground away from the heels of SUPER STAR and inconvenienced GOLD FLASK which got its head up when being checked off the heels of JOYFUL STAR. In the middle stages, WINWIN COMBINATION had a tendency to get its head on the side and lay out away from the rail. About the 600 Metres, MONEY STAR, which was being ridden along somewhat in an endeavour to hold its position behind JOYFUL STAR, was checked when crowded between WINWIN COMBINATION which made the turn awkwardly and shifted out and TYPHOON which shifted in slightly to a position behind JOYFUL STAR. CLASSIC DANCER, which was following MONEY STAR, was checked rather severely as a consequence. In view of all the circumstances, it was decided no action would be taken. In the Straight, JOYFUL STAR had a tendency to lay out and at about the 200 Metres shifted ground, caused some inconvenienced to WINWIN COMBINATION. Also in the Straight, KOWLOON CHIEF had a tendency to shift some ground. JOYFUL STAR was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
