Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the barriers, D Whyte (PROFIT MASTER) reported to the Veterinary Surgeon that he was concerned with the manner in which the horse was trotting up. The Veterinary Surgeon examined PROFIT MASTER, he was unable to detect any lameness. He did say the horse had an unusual action in front and in his opinion was suitable to race. PROFIT MASTER left the gates awkwardly. On jumping, THE VITALITY STAR shifted out abruptly and bumped CHAMPION RANGER which in turn shifted out and bumped the shoulder of SMILING UNION which as a consequence was checked severely. Just after the start, CIGAR KING, which was being ridden hard to try and keep up, was steadied to avoid the heels of GO FOR GIN which shifted into a position behind STARLIGHT SUPREME. Rounding the Home Turn, SMILING UNION hung in. Throughout the race, TRULY DELIGHTED hung in. THE VITALITY STAR was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
