Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the course, it was noted that BOLD'N POWER had an abrasion over its upper muzzle. It was established the horse had been bitten by the horse next to it in the trailer on the way to the track. BOLD'N POWER was examined by the Senior Veterinary Surgeon who discussed the matter with the Trainer and after this the Senior Veterinary Surgeon decided that BOLD'N POWER was suitable to race. SEA DRAGON PEARL left the gates badly and threw its head up. EQUUS ZEPHYRUS was slowly away. GIVE TO THEE jumped with its head in an awkward position, shifted some ground and made contact with WINNING HURRAH. Just after the start, JET JACKSON and BOLD'N POWER bumped. As a consequence of this, JET JACKSON was momentarily unbalanced. In the early stages, AFFAIRE D'AMOUR hung in and several times made contact with NO COMPETITOR. Approaching and rounding the Home Turn, WINNING HURRAH hung out. When hit with the whip in the right hand after the 200 Metres, WINNING HURRAH shifted out abruptly. Because of this, D Bonilla stopped riding and changed the whip into his left hand, the horse then shifted in. About the 400 Metres, SEA DRAGON PEARL became unbalanced and lost its position when awkward on the heels of SUPER BOLD RACER. GIVE TO THEE was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, it was reported that ETERNAL START had bled from both nostrils.
