Racing Incident Report
After being boxed, GOLDEN WARRIOR became fractions and broke through the front of its gate. After being caught and returned to the Start, GOLDEN WARRIOR was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and on his advice the horse was withdrawn. Before racing again, GOLDEN WARRIOR will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial (stalls test). SCHOOL DAYS missed the start badly. FOREVER GOLD, which was restless after being boxed, was slowly away, then in the early stages the saddle on FOREVER GOLD shifted back, placing E Legrix at a disadvantage. About the 400 Metres, SCHOOL DAYS was momentarily unbalanced when awkward on the heels of MASCOT. About the 300 Metres, TEA FOR GENTLEMEN and GOOD SPIRIT came together. Throughout most of the race, JOINT PEACE hung in and over about the last 300 Metres on two occasions caused some inconvenience to GOLDEN FARM. Prior to the declaration of weighed-in, E Saint-Martin (GOLDEN FARM) sought permission to view the available video films as he was of the view he may have had grounds to formally object against JOINT PEACE being declared the winner. After seeing the films, however, E Saint-Martin decided it would be inappropriate on this occasion to object. Accordingly weighed-in on the Judge's numbers was semaphored. INTERVENE was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
