Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the barriers, FAKEI FORTUNE was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. He was unable to find any abnormalities. J Egan was consulted by the Veterinary Surgeon and he also was satisfied with the way the horse was moving. The Veterinary Surgeon said FAKEI FORTUNE in his opinion was suitable to race. When the gates opened, TERRIFIC SPIRIT bounded in the air, as a consequence the horse lost a lot of ground. WINWIN COMBINATION jumped awkwardly and threw its head about. About the 700 Metres, ENERGY POWER and WINWIN COMBINATION became unbalanced when racing tight inside MISSION SEALED and awkward behind LIGHT PRINT. Just after the 600 Metres, SHAXI TREASURE became unbalanced when being steadied to avoid the heels of FAIR COMMENT. On straightening, SHAXI TREASURE was steadied away from the heels of FAIR COMMENT when racing tight inside ASSERTIVE. In the early part of the Straight, TERRIFIC SPIRIT had some trouble finding a clear run. Near the 200 Metres, FAKEI FORTUNE, which was starting to make some ground, was steadied and shifted out to avoid MISSION SEALED. After the race, it was noted that WINWIN COMBINATION was bleeding from the mouth as a result of having loosened a tooth.
