Racing Incident Report
NOBLE CHARGE jumped awkwardly, was then further inconvenienced when tightened between KOH-I-NOOR and MUNDAHISH, both of which shifted ground. Passing the winning post the first time, AMERICAN CHAMPION became unbalanced when crowded for room between SEATTLE SUN and HOSSEGOR (Apprentice Y T Cheng) which had a tendency to shift in away from NOBLE CHARGE. It was decided not to take any action, but Apprentice Y T Cheng was told he must exercise far more care when shifting ground. At the conclusion of the inquiry, Apprentice Y T Cheng was told the evidence he presents in future must be more straightforward. Near the 600 Metres, SEATTLE SUN was severely checked when disappointed for running between MILLENNIUM SUPREME and THE ESTABLISHMENT which when weakening shifted in. In the circumstances, no action was taken. After the 600 Metres, RED DIAMOND was checked rather severely when disappointed for running between KOH-I-NOOR and DARING STEED. When being checked, RED DIAMOND shifted out abruptly, causing SIR GALWAY to be checked, AMERICAN CHAMPION and HOSSEGOR which were following were hampered in consequence. In view of the circumstances, it was decided not to take any action.
