Racing Incident Report

D O'Neill was fined $2,000 for accepting two rides in the race. He initially accepted the engagements for DANCING SURPASS and FIVE STARS SHINING. Permission was granted for K S Yu to be substituted as the rider of FIVE STARS SHINING at declaration time. DANCING SURPASS jumped awkwardly and bumped the outside of its gate. On jumping, TYPHOON threw its head about. In the early stages, TYPHOON continued to race ungenerously with its head in the air. Just after the start, CHAMPION RANGER dipped when tight between PARADISE CHASE and NATURE'S TREASURE. About the 1600 Metres, PARADISE CHASE was momentarily tight inside PLEASANT WIN. Approaching the Home Turn and in the early part of the Straight, NATURE'S TREASURE was awkwardly placed, lost its position and just before the 200 Metres, NATURE'S TREASURE was steadied and shifted out to find running and go forward. In the early part of the Straight, PARADISE CHASE and PLEASANT WIN raced tight. In the run to the winning post, KING COBRA had a tendency to lay out. PARADISE CHASE was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, it was reported that GOD OF WEALTH and THE MIGHTY SWORD had bled from both nostrils.
