Currie struck immediate success with victory at his first ride for the stable in the G3 Bletchingly Stakes aboard Dandy Kid, before later landing his first win at Group 1 level aboard Roman Arch in the 2003 Toorak Handicap, when he defied the great Fields Of Omagh by just under two lengths.
