MATCH PREVIEW
MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN

After successive wins against Nurnberg and Elversberg, Paderborn come into this game following a 3-2 defeat against Hannover. Although their 3-1 win against Elversberg ended a run of five games without a win at home, Paderborn continue to struggle and are somewhat off the pace.

Hamburg meanwhile come into this game following a morale boosting win against city rivals St. Pauli to keep their slim hopes of finishing in the promotion playoff alive. But they must grab points in their remaining two games and hope that Dusseldorf drop points. Hamburg have lost just one of their last seven league games, but have won just one of their last five league matches away from home.

With Robert Glatzel’s 19 league goals this season, Hamburg will always be lethal in the penalty area but they have to remain strong defensively. Do so and they should win against Paderborn with relative easy. Away win.

HEAD TO HEAD

Paderborn won the reverse fixture 2-1 but Hamburg were unbeaten last season with a win and daw. Hamburg have won their last three away games against Paderborn.
