Copa America is always a great tournament to play especially for South American countries and players because you know how tough it is, how difficult it is to play there. All the teams have to face their rivals from South America, which is always challenging, plus, you have the talent of the other American nations thrown in, which has become very formidable in recent years.

You have to be there, you have to be strong to play this tournament, and the players must be ready. For my Brazil this time, in spite of the fact that Brazil is in the process of building the team, because of the unique identity I never put Brazil out of this competition because in these tough moments when things are not perfect or as it should be, the team always comes back and bows back from the challenge.

But obviously, we must say that at the moment Argentina, in my opinion, is the strongest team and they don’t want to be beaten and they are the last world champion and then they have to understand that they are very strong, they are playing together for quite a long time and it won't be easy to beat them.

Also possibly Uruguay too as they have a good manager and recent form is strong. They are the strongest teams but my favorite to win is Argentina. My heart obviously wants Brazil but we must take emotion out and Argentina is looking very likely the winners of Copa 2024.

Top scorer
For me, the top scorer of this tournament will be won in the group stages. The later stages of the competition tend to be cagey affairs and not high-scoring games, often going to penalties, so I think the goals will be tallied up in the group stages.

Based on that I think Vini Jr will be the top scorer. You obviously cannot rule out the talent of Messi and I think Nunez at Uruguay is in good form for his nation. However, Vini Jr has had an amazing season for his club and I think he is the best player in the world right now. In his group, he has two very easy ties versus Costa Rica and Paraguay where I think he can improve the amount of goals very early and very quickly. If Brazil makes the later stages he will also be the key man to get the goals.
