14/12/2023Amendments to the Football Betting Rules “Void Match” re-defined
To address the potential delay for void matches and to provide customers with clearer information to enhance overall football betting experience, HKJC Football Betting Limited will make amendments to “Void Match” in the Betting Rules starting from 15 December. The aim is to improve efficiency and provide better customer service.
Under the amendments, the term “Void Match” will be re-defined with clearer definitions for Abandoned and Postponed.
“Abandoned” refers to a situation where a Match has started, but (1) it is suspended for more than one hour during the Play Time or Extra Time of the Match without any indication from the official body of the Match when the Match may be resumed; or (2) the official body indicates the Match will remain so for more than 12 hours during the first hour of the suspension.
“Postponed” refers to a situation where a Match (1) is not kicked off for more than two hours from its original scheduled start time without any indication from the official body regarding the new start time; or (2) if the official body indicates within two hours after the original scheduled start time that the Match will start over 12 hours later; or (3) if the official body indicates that the Match will not start at the original scheduled start time and will remain so for more than 12 hours from the original scheduled time; or (4) the start time of a Match has been deferred more than once and the eventual start time of the Match will be more than 12 hours from the original scheduled start time.
